User Group Name: NYC Visual Studio Team System User Group
Event Title: NYC VSTS User Group: Making Friends and Influencing People - Selling VSTS to People who Don't Know They Need It
Event Description: Description: How can you sell VSTS with all the open source tools out there today - Bugzilla and Mantis, Subversion and CVS? What is a VSTS advocate suppose to do? I was able to sell VSTS to two very different teams; one was a web hosting company and the other was a DHS Provider. Both had different requirements but the same goals--to control what is being developed and tested and to have real time reporting. The answer was VSTS. Please join and learn what I did, and what I didn't do to motivate adoption. I will describe how I found support within the vast but very small community before the creation of the NY VSTS User group. So sit back and enjoy as this will be an entertaining evening with audience participation.
