Event information
Event Title:
Web 3.0
Event Description:
Web 2.0 was defined by Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (AJAX). AJAX allowed many web applications to work more like desktop applications. The web before AJAX was linear - entering information and then waiting to make the next action - but AJAX made it possible to make numerous calls on one page without having to load a new page every time an action was completed. In the years to come the web will move beyond web 2.0 into web 3.0. People will expect most applications on the web to interact even more like desktop applications. Web 3.0 will be a combination of the following MashUps, Viral Content, and Rich Internet Technologies. Mashups combine information from various sources and mash them together. It will give web developers more opportunities to capitalize on their skills. Developers will be able to create and sell ad-revenue-based applications for free or for a small fee. These new applications will exist on social networks, phone, blogging software, etc.
